Sightsailer - Private Charters
Sightsailer is a terrific boat for smaller group charters. U.S. Coast Guard certified for up to 16 guests, she is very comfortable and fun to sail on! Sloop rigged, she sails extraordinarily well in most conditions. A varnished mahogany cockpit table is available on which to place light food and drink. There is a great CD/stereo should guests want to bring music to play. There is one head (bathroom) that guests may use. Sightsailer has been used for bachelor/bachelorette parties, corporate outings, family sails, birthday parties and special events. Guests board Sightsailer at historic Bowen’s Wharf in downtown Newport. Shortly after departure the sails are raised and Sightsailer sails through Newport Harbor, past Goat Island and Fort Adams and into Narragansett Bay. The scenery is stunning - yachts, seaside estates, the Newport Bridge - and the sailing is generally first rate. The crew and captain are more than happy to answer guests’ questions about the area or get them involved in sailing the boat. Sightsailing is one of Newport’s oldest outfitters offering regularly scheduled sailing excursions aboard U.S. Coast Guard Certified vessels.
