Private sailing charters on Sightsailer are perfect for small groups.  Bacelorette parties in Newport are not complete without a sail!  Sightsailer is our most popular boat for bachelor and bachelorette parties, family sailing outings and smaller corporate events. 

Sailing with a maximum of 13 guests, Sightsailer is comfortable, fast and fun!  A varnished cockpit table is available on which to place light food and drink, there is a CD stereo with I-pod interface and a small head (restroom) guests may use. The captain and crew are more than happy to answer guests’ questions, get them involved in sailing the boat or just ensuring a relaxing sail.

Sightsailer Private Charter Rates:

1.5 hour charter: $600.00.

3.0 hour charter: $1190.00

Private Charter rates are all inclusive and include the boat, captain, crew and gratuity. No other charges or taxes apply.

What’s the difference between sailing as a group on a public sail versus a private charter?

If you do a private charter, your group will have the boat to themselves. Also on private charters, you may bring or arrange to have food and drinks on board. On public sails, you may not have food, drinks, or coolers on the boat.  For more information on food and drink, please click on the Food and Drink button in the Private Charter section of this web site.

The largest number of people part of one group that may purchase tickets for a public sail is 8. If your group is larger than 8, your party can start to overwhelm the rest of the vessel so we require that groups larger than 8 privately charter the vessel. If you have a large party, we require that the block of tickets be purchased under one name.

We welcome both groups and private charters! However, if you are trying to put on a party that is more of an event, a private charter is more special and definitely the way to go.
