Schooner Aquidneck – Private Charters
Guests board Aquidneck at historic Bowen’s Wharf in downtown Newport. Shortly after departure the sails are raised and Aquidneck sails through Newport Harbor, past Goat Island and Fort Adams and into Narragansett Bay. The scenery is stunning - yachts, seaside estates, the Newport bridge - and the sailing is generally first rate. The crew and captain are more than happy to answer guests’ questions about the area or get them involved in sailing the boat. With the ability to fly up 5 sails, she is very picturesque and makes for a most memorable event.

Schooner Aquidneck is a magnificent boat for corporate outings, family reunions, wedding sails, private parties or any other special event. She has a tremendous amount of deck space for guests to move about with ease whether dockside or under sail. She has very comfortable seating areas and plenty of space for food & drink. For guests’ convenience there are two very nice bathrooms (heads) on board. With a length of 80 feet and a beam of 17 feet the Schooner Aquidneck is our largest boat and one of the largest daysail schooners in New England. She is U.S. Coast Guard certified for up to 49 guests.
Sightsailing is one of Newport’s oldest outfitters offering regularly-scheduled sailing excursions aboard U.S. Coast Guard Certified vessels. Our captains and crew are friendly, courteous and professional. We take tremendous personal interest and pride in providing your guests the best possible experience on the water.
